December ended, January started,
My legs shivered; it wasn’t cold outside.
The white walls made it feel like I was walking on snow,
Taking my time with each step; the snow felt real, heavy, my feet wanted to let go,
My head was empty, I had no thoughts, only her.
She looked so empty, tired,
She looked wasted, and just wanted to leave this earth;
She wanted to end all of her pain.
I didn’t think she could hear me,
But that didn’t matter
I just wanted to hear her voice,
Her smooth, enticing beautiful voice,
But that was impossible.
I was never going to hear the melody emitted out of her mouth ever again,
Not now, not ever.
